The question is, why are people so ignorant?

That is something that I have been asking myself for so long. Unfortunately it seems to be the current human way of doing thinking and acting. It does not matter how important something or someone is, if “it or they” have a title which deems them of lower importance then “they or it” is treated as such. Even if “they or it” help bring in the big dollars.

This same scenario can be applied to corporate scum and the environment. They just do not care, because they cannot see anything past the almighty dollar. At the end of the day, the dollar is all that matters. Even when the end of the day comes, this fact will remain. Only when the ignorant ones realize that money does not relieve their hunger, will they realize.

Imagine this if you will. “A business person in a suit, wearing a pair of makeshift glasses. These glasses have a rod affixed to the frames that extends outward from his/her face. This rod has a dollar note attached which floats in front of their eyes. All they can see is this dollar and will walk toward it endlessly. It would not matter what happens to be in their way, they would either walk over or smash it down to continue their merry walk towards the dollar which is constantly floating in front of their eyes.”

They are ignorant because they are blind and do not care about what is behind that dollar. They are content and happy where they are and would refuse to take the makeshift glasses off. God forbid, anyone who tries to take these glasses off, for they will kick scream and fight to keep the structure in place.

How can we do anything when people are simply unwilling to open their eyes?
